Free Hugs in Providence - Bask in the Glow

WOW!!! What fun...
The LiveLoveBe crew along with the guys from Salon Kroma did their best to hug Providence. I don’t know if we got to everyone in Providence but we definitely hugged most of the students at Brown University. The reception from everyone was overwhelming we even picked up a few huggers along the way.

Next scheduled Free Hug event is May 9, 2009 in Boston, MA @ Quincy Market from 11am - 2pm.

Cookie Platoon

LiveLoveBe did something wonderful this weekend. On Friday night we baked 12 dozen cookies then, with the Connecticut Cookie Platoon, on Saturday morning, we along dozens of other people showed up at the Ambulance Headquarters in Deep River, CT to pack thousands of homemade goodies, cards and letters to send to our troops.
The Connecticut Cookie Platoon is a growing group of volunteers dedicated to the proposition that soldiers presently serving, those who are recovering, and military veterans need never be without reminders of home and the people who love them and respect the job they do. And what better way to show our appreciation and provide a few moments of familiar comfort than to send fresh-baked cookies?
In each shipment, every soldier receives five containers of cookies. Each container holds approximately a dozen assorted cookies.
All boxes are shipped through the United States Postal Service. Each box costs $10.00 to ship.
The CT Cookie Platoon meets once a month at a different local fire house (always updated on www.cookieplatoon.com home page) to pack cookies for the troops. It also gives volunteers a chance to make friends and to share the fulfillment that comes from knowing they're helping to make the tough work of our soldiers just a little bit easier.

The CT Cookie Platoon mission is to get America baking homemade cookies once a month for our troops, veterans, or recovering soldiers.
Join the Mission If you have a soldier currently serving, or if you know of a veteran or a recovering soldier, please let us know. With your help, we can continue to put smiles on our soldiers' faces by sending a taste of home to the protectors of home.

Monetary donations to the Cookie Platoon will also be accepted to defray postage costs, around $10.00 per box. Donations can be sent to Cookie Platoon, P.O. Box 635, Chester, CT 06412.

Free Hugs – LiveLoveBe Style

We hugged it out on Monday, May 26th at the Old Saybrook Memorial Day Parade. The weather was perfect for hugging, the whole town (well almost) was out and the hugging was amazing.

The event was a smashing success, We made Free Hugs t-shirts. We had plenty of Free Hugs posters and signs. We had 6 huggers and several who got hugs from just couldn't resist and joined us for awhile, and hundreds of people received hugs. There were some not-so-sure people who didn't want a hug, but for the most part, the majority of the people that passed were excited and willing to receive a hug. We even had some tears from people who told us they really needed a hug. That makes it all worthwhile!!

We plan on doing a free hugs day every year at this parade so we are hoping to build our "huggership" each year. Anyone interested in joining is welcome.

Keri and Eric Manuel are the first two full time employees of livelovebe.

After great eight years with Strategies. Where we learned an enormous amount from everyone we came in contact with. Most importantly had the opportunity to travel across the world and meet incredible people. Who we thank for crossing our path and forever becoming a part of our lives. We have been truly blessed.

We are moving on to a new chapter in our lives...Bigger and better opportunities for our entire family! On April 01, 2007 with our four children we launched a global initiative to change the world. livelovebe is a web experience dedicated to giving you everything you need to be positive @ home, work and school. We are devoting 100% of our time to livelovebe, which is where our hearts are.

We want to build and grow livelovebe to the point that we can touch, inspire, motivate, uplift and re-energize people across the globe. We are on a mission to "change the world!"
